“Walk with Al Younbouh”

The Al Younbouh Family - students, staff, volunteers and youth and women’s voluntary committees - held their annual fund and awareness raising event “Walk with Al Younbouh” on Sunday May 3, 2009 at Fouad Chehab Stadium Jounieh.

Representatives of the event’s corporate sponsors, donors, well known personalities, associations, schools and clubs joined the local community who turned out in huge numbers to support “Walk with Al Younbouh”.

Tony Baroud a faithful supporter of Al Younbouh animated the event, welcoming old friends and new. The “Walk” began with the National Anthem performed by Underground Fiesta who accompanied the procession as it made its way through the old streets of Jounieh. The main attraction was the first stop, at Jounieh Municipality, where the students performed a wonderful dance program, the highlight of the event, choreographed by Sami El Hajj. The students look forward eagerly to this event, they rehearsed enthusiastically and love to participate and welcome the opportunity to meet and socialize with all their “Friends”.

At the second stop, at Chir, the traditional of releasing balloons in the colours of Al Younbouh’s logo, red, blue and yellow, was continued after which a surprise performance by “Al Foursane Al Arbaa” delighted the crowd.

Following another tradition, a commemorative tree was planted at the third stop.

The atmosphere was wonderful. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day and the opportunity to get to know the students and the work of the Center.

The Al Younbouh Family is totally committed to its mission “to improve the quality of life of the students and ensure their dignified integration into the community”, and by attending “Walk with Al Younbouh” you are helping to achieve this mission.
