“Walk with Al Younbouh”

Al Younbouh, centre for the rehabilitation of mentally disabled young adults, held its annual awareness and fund raising event “Walk with Al Younbouh” in Jounieh on Sunday May 18th 2008.
Animated by Tony Baroud, the “Walk”, led by a marching band proceeded to Jounieh Municipality where the students of the Centre sang the national anthem and presented a specially choreographed dance programme – the highlight of the event. The “Walk” continued interspersed with various activities including a Youth Voluntary Committee project and the planting of an olive tree.
 The “Walk”, organized by the Women’s Voluntary Committee together with all other members of the Al Younbouh family, attracted more than 2000 participants including representatives of the various sponsors, social groups and supporters and friends of Al Younbouh. The success of the event was evident in the smiles and happiness on the faces of all those present.
Al Younbouh’s mission is to enable and assist the integration into society of the young people that attend the Center. The involvement and interaction of the students in the “Walk” is an example of the success of the Center.
