Business - Sub-Contract Services |
Businesses and organizations interested in outsourcing manual tasks can receive a reliable sub-contracting service from Al Younbouh Rehabilitation Center. Tasks include filling, folding, sticking and packaging, and other.
A visit to the sub-contracting workshop is a portrait of professional diligence - the students take deep pride in their work, and love to show it off to visitors.
The sub-contracting workshop is a Work Assistance Center, or Centre d’Aide par le Travail (CAT). It helps develop in the students manual capacities necessary to find success in the professional world. It trains them to work according to a schedule, to respect deadlines, to work as a team, and to meet standards in a team-driven environment.
Organizations that utilize sub-contracting services are directly contributing to Al Younbouh, both financially and by delivering an educational service to the students. It allows the center to continuously develop and improve while placing the students in a deeply worthwhile exercise.

Cake Packing Women’s Voluntary Committee members manage cake packing workshops. While the committee is responsible for baking, the students work together to bag and pack each cake with care. While hard at work handling these pastries for sale, the students learn the interdisciplinary skills of managing a job, seeing it through to fruition, and to enjoy the successes of their activity through hands-on education.
Piñatas The complex Piñata production offers the students a fun and artful activity that also requires a steady hand and a sense of flare. Many students specifically identify this workshop as their "favorite." Enabling the development of concentration and fine motor skills, the Piñata activity is also a wonderful opportunity for the students to produce one of Al Younbouh's most popular products for sale.
Pop Corn If you take a step into the pop-corn making facility you will be surrounded by the most delicious smell you can imagine. You will also see the students hard at work in an assembly-line operation, learning to work as a task-specific-oriented team. Each student performs a different action on the line: Adding oil, salt, and corn, and then packing the finished product. The pop-corn is sold in local schools and at Al Younbouh's social events.
Handicrafts The workshops emphasize activities that exercise fine motor skills while simultaneously encouraging creativity and an artistic eye. These include: Beading, handicrafts, holiday card making, pottery and painting.
Cooking Simple cooking skills are learnt during the preparation of the weekly lunch which is eaten together providing opportunities for further lessons in social interactivity and table etiquette, and at the same time minimizing dependence on others for basic necessities.
